Who we are

BeiMoto is operated by Koomzea Limited, Nairobi, Kenya. We decide how the information described here is used, so we are responsible for it.

When you browse the site

• We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics: the page you open, the site that sent you, your country and your device type. It uses no cookies and does not identify you.
• If you arrive from one of our posts, a short code from the link (for example TT-BIO) is kept in your browser for that visit only, so it can be added to your WhatsApp message. It is cleared when you close the tab.
• What you type into the Deal Checker search isn't saved. Only the product you choose and the price you enter go into the page address, so you can share the result. We don't store them in a database.
• We don't use advertising cookies or trackers on this site.

When you message us on WhatsApp

We see your WhatsApp name and number and what you tell us, such as the product you want, your budget and your town. We use it to answer you, recommend a product and take your order. WhatsApp is run by Meta under its own terms and privacy policy.

When you order from us

• We use your name, phone number and delivery location to confirm stock, deliver and send your receipt.
• When you pay by M-Pesa, Safaricom shares with us the payer's name, phone number, amount and transaction code.
• We share your name, phone number and location with the rider who delivers in Nairobi, or with Jumia's delivery service for orders outside Nairobi.
• We keep order records to help with warranty claims and because the law requires businesses to keep records.

When you follow a link to Jumia

"View on Jumia" takes you to Jumia's website. Jumia and its partners may use cookies there, including to credit us a small commission if you buy. Jumia's own privacy policy applies on its site.

Who helps us run the service

• Vercel: hosts the site and counts visits.
• Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase): our database, which holds staff sign-in accounts.
• Meta (WhatsApp): where our conversations happen.
• Safaricom (M-Pesa): payments.
• Google Fonts: supplies the site's typefaces. Your browser downloads them from Google, which sees your IP address when it does.

Some of these providers store data outside Kenya. We only share what each one needs to do its job.

What we don't do

We don't sell your information. We don't send you marketing messages unless you asked us to or chose to follow our WhatsApp Channel, and you can leave the Channel at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep chats and order records for as long as we need them to serve you, handle warranty claims and meet our legal record-keeping duties. After that we delete them.

Your rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email us at info@koomzea.com and we will reply within 7 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
